A friend sent us a $200 gift card for Valentines Day few month ago. My wife and I dined at this location years back and didn't care for it back then. But, since I got a gift card, we though we would give it a chance. What a dissapointment! Ambiance is outdated and tired. Food is mediocre at best! Everything is lacking flavor. Service is ok, but nothing spectacular either. It seems that multiple people are serving you and one doesn't necessary know what the other is doing. For starter, she ordered a salad and asked to leave out the onions. It arrived with onions right on top, nobody noticed. Her filet was average at best, mashed potatoes were ok, mushrooms were horrible. I never knew one can make mushrooms so tasteless. My steak was all fat and gristle and my Cesar salad was tasteless as well. We had a glass of wine each, tinny glass that cost $17 or so each, dinner and desert. On top of $200 gift card, it cost us another $60 or so. We left so unsatisfied and disappointed. I don't mind spending $250 for dinner, but when I do, I SHOULD AT LEAST ENJOY IT!!! To me, people who rave about this place simply don't know a good food. They get out to a restaurant once a year or less to celebrate something. So anything that doesn't come out of their own kitchen seems amazing. We dine out 3-4 times a week at least, and I have to say this was my worst dining experience in the past few years. Well, the same friend sent me another gift card to Ruth Chris, now for my BDay. I don't want to hurt my friend's feelings, but I am sure not going back to that place. I will try the one in Boca, may be I will have a better experience.

That was a top tier steakhouse that had food, service, and ambiance. Smith & Wollensky, 954 Steak, or even Houston's in Aventura will be a much better choice. So, I wrote another one with the hope that this one will be shown!

I was taken here for my bday and had the best salmon I've ever had! It was the special of the day. They are very pricey, so it's a special occasion place in my books. My friend had their steak which was perfectly cooked and delicious.

Thanksgiving Day treat! The food was excellent, the service was terrible on Food: had surf and turf. Both were well cooked and great! Sweet potato casserole was the bomb. Service: reservation at 6:45, we were seated at 7:15pm--tough wait with two hungry kids in tow! Waited 1 hour 10 minutes from the time we ordered to arrival of the main course. Bread came 20 minutes after we sat and only after we asked for it. They were packing them in, which is ok if the service is up to par. A real disappointment in the Ruth Chris' universe!!!!

A top tier steakhouse that is starting to show a bit of aging. Came here with my family for my mom's birthday on a Sunday evening. Pulling into the restaurant you really have no other option other than valet parking, which while has its glitz and glamor to it, I personally prefer to park it myself. Once we walked in, we were seated right away in the back dining room, and the place was empty, even though as the night went on, it filled up. Since it was my mom's birthday, the table had birthday confetti on it, and a greeting card from Ruth's Chris. And the end of our meal when they brought out dessert, they wrote in chocolate, "happy birthday" and gave my mom a scoop of ice cream to go with dessert (the dessert was already included in our meals). Needless to say the service was solid all around. Our waiter was very nice, and prompt in everything he did. Refilling our drinks and getting what we asked for was always done. At the every end of the meal he even took our picture and printed it out for us. I think the service was great, but didn't go above and beyond to hit that special point. For dinner, I got the Ruth's Classic, which is basically a three course meal of salad/soup, entree, side, and dessert all for a fixed price. Started with a caesar salad which was good, but by far nothing special as goes the pantheon of caesar salads. The 16oz Ribeye I ordered was cooked to order at medium-rare, and very flavorful. Portion size was obviously large, and the melted butter added a nice touch to an already tasty dish. Mashed potatoes side dish was quite large, especially for one person, and the taste was good. The dessert was a seasonal selection of Honey-Cinnamon Cheesecake with Peach Compote & Chocolate Almond Bark. The cheesecake was excellent, even though the portion size was small. The chocolate that came with it tasted great, but it was a very heavy dark chocolate which didn't work well after a heavy meal (it tastes better if you bring it home and eat it later on). The overall meal was around $57 for me, not including tip or tax. I also tried the Creamed Spinach and Smoky Chipotle Fingerling Potatoes, both were good sides, but I'm glad I choose the mashed potatoes over those items. Overall the food was top quality, but lacked that special factor to kick it up to the next level. Just another note about the atmosphere; went to the bathroom to wash my hands before the meal started, and I was not impressed. The bathroom was very small, outdated, and had a strong cleansing oder coming from it. The restaurant itself seems a bit outdated, and could use a tiny renovation, but I thought it was up to standards. The bathroom however for sure could use a major update if it wants to stay on par with the standards Ruth's Chris Steak House has. Let's talk about why the price is just way too high and why it matters. Are you getting high quality food and great service? Yes. Can you find those qualities elsewhere for cheaper? Yes. That's it. Okay, maybe the service might be harder to locate elsewhere, because it is very good here, but the food isn't at that level where I am dying to come back. The steak I had was excellent, yet I've had steaks just as good if not better elsewhere. Ruth's Chris Steak House is a fine time for a special night out (birthday, anniversary, etc), but as a casual diner it can take a severe hit on your wallet. A tad bit overrated if you ask me. Food (B+), Pricing (D-), Atmosphere (B+), Service (B+)

Just like an old friend no matter how longs it's been when you go back to Ruth Chris it feels like home. The steaks were buttery perfection and the sides as luscious as ever. Our server was great and attention to details is always appreciated.
My husband and I tried Ruth's Chris after hearing many good things about it. Unfortunately, we were totally disappointed. We both ordered steaks and they were just okay. I ordered mine to be cooked well done and it was medium. I prefer not to send food back to the kitchen, so I ate it anyway. I also ordered the blue cheese crust addition to my steak, which was mushy and soft...not a "crust" in any sense. The taste of the "crust" was nothing to brag about either. The "family" sized side of potatoes was small, even for two people, and they didn't even taste that good. The service was very disappointing for what you pay for. We had to ask the man who filled the water glasses to come to our table after he passed it multiple times while our glasses were empty, and after that one refill, he never came back. Our waitress wasn't that attentive either. Needless to say, we won't be coming back. If you're going to spend that much on dinner, go to Diplomat Prime. You won't be disappointed!

It's dated , Complimentary valet parking. We sat in a booth cushions are very lumpy. We ordered a couple of glasses of wine mine was $17 .I could buy the whole bottle for $17. They brought to table hot nice bread w/ whipped butter. We ordered one T-bone $52.00 MW it was cook perfectly. + a Filet $44.00 M cooked again perfectly. Everything is à la cart. So we also ordered the Baked Potato Loaded $9.00. Spinach creamed mm,mm, $$8.50 , and the Lobster MacChesse. $17.00., it did have lots of lobster . Our server was more a actor then a great server. I would have had that second glass of wine if he was around. . The food was good But there's a But there.

We took our two young children, which made me a little nervous (can be a little rambunctious). The staff were fabulous with the kids and made us feel right at home. Service was spot on as always and food was fantastic. You certainly pay for it, but it's a nice treat.

Love Love Love this place. Such a treat every time. The lobster mac and cheese is one of the best things I ever eaten. I always get the filet mignon medium rare and it never fails to wow me. It is pricey and worth it. My husband gets the complete meal with his filet which comes with soup\salad, veggie and dessert for $54.00. We've never had bad service and never been disappointed. Recommend highly for a special occasion.

Valentine Dinner Hit & Miss. We've dined at this Ruth Chris many times over the years for special occasions. Upon our arrival We received a warm hello from host and my lady was given a long stem Rose. Our favorite table was ready and our server was there right away. Manager came by to say hello and welcome us back. We both ordered from the Classis Ruth menu, she ordered the filet and usual I do the same but this time I selected the Rib eye. My lady wanted her steak medium rare while I wanted medium well and butterflied. She was happy with her selection, where I was disappointed with mine. First of all did not look good, and secondly it was tough. I had there Rib eye before and it was delicious, but this time they didn't get it right. I didn't complain (maybe I should have) but ate what I could of the steak. We will go back because we enjoy the service we receive, and for majority of the time the food is cooked to our taste.

We went on Valentine's Day, it was our first time at Ruth Chris. They were extremely busy but the staff was incredibly attentive, friendly and personable. I have to say Josh and Dupree made our night a fantastic one. The food was spectacular, the steaks were soft, moist and cooked to perfection. The creme burle was out of this world! We'll definitely be back to this location.

They get 4 stars on service alone. Everyone and I mean everyone is very attentive to your needs. The atmosphere is very comfortable and the noise level is moderate. It's dark and you can smell all the aromas as plates sizzle past your table. It was my first visit and it's safe to say I'd return. From the bread they serve with the whipped butter ( important!) to the soups to the steaks, everything was very well prepared. Our server was very patient as you would expect anyone in the hospitality business to be. They even brought out a birthday dessert with candle and all and took a picture of us which she printed immediately. Prices are high, but you get what you pay for.

2nd time visiting and once again my meal did not disappoint! By far my favorite steak I've ever had. Had the filet cooked medium and it was just perfect! We celebrated a birthday and they made it perfect by ending the night with a complimentary amazing dessert. I will definitely be visiting again!

Ruth's Chris Steakhouse has now become one of my top restaurants to visit. My friend hosted an etiquette class at Ruth's Chris for middle and high school students. The restaurant accomodated and gave the students a true fine dining experience. My compliments to Tommy Mosiman, our main waiter, and the manager Aleks Kunov. I am forever grateful for the staff of Ruth Chris for their hospitality and generosity for the students' four course meal. The etiquette class was suppose to be for 2 hours, but the class ran for to 3.5 hours. The staff did not rush us, we were told to take our time, which we truly appreciated it. During the etiquette class, the meal started with an a soup or salad, the main course: the filet and shrimp, salmon, or stuffed chicken, paired with a side, and dessert. I ordered the Filet and Shrimp with the sweet potato casserole. The filet was cooked to perfection; it was tender, juicy, and perfectly seasoned. However, the best thing, hands down, was the sweet potato casserole. I have never, ever, tasted anything, so divine before. If you have a sweeth tooth, order the sweet potato casserole. The pecan is perfectly toasted and baked right. The sweet potato has the right amount of cinnamon, sugar, and butter. It's a combination of sweet and crunchy. Mmmm.... just when you think, the course is over, here comes the chocolate cake explosion! My goodness, seriously, there's more?! The students were astounded and so was I. The chocolate cake was huge. Seriously, the chocolate cake explosion was meant to be shared, but everyone received their individual warm cake. The cake comes was vanilla ice cream on top, with a chocolate mousse filling in the center. Once you get to the middle of the cake, a lava of chocolate surrounds your plate, yum! Once again, I was impress by the service of the staff and the quality of the food. I highly recommend Ruth's Chris, trust me, you will not be disappointed.

I salute you, Ruth! You do steak well. * Exemplary Service * Delicious steak, prepared to perfection * Sweet potato dish tastes like dessert, it is that sweet, warm, and wonderful! Steaks are oven-prepared and cooked in butter. Oh yeah. High end joint. Everything is pricey, a la carte, and perfect for wining and dining to impress.

12/28/2013 Came back again just for the Banana Cream Pie. We called again to confirm and made a to go order for banana cream pie and bread pudding. While we got there to pick up the order, surprisingly the manager Alex (who we never met before) remembered us and he apologized for what was happened on Thursday. I really like his attitude and appreciate for it since that was not his fault. He also gave us complimentary desserts. I believe what important to them is making customer satisfied. It should be important to every business but honestly not everyone can do it. BTW, the banana cream pie was not taste that good as I expected. 12/26/2013 Craving for Banana Cream Pie for couple years. Since this dessert is seasonal, they may not have it all the time. I constantly call to different locations of Ruth Chris and want to know when they have it. I called to this location and the lady had confirmed to me they have it, I was so excited and went there. We made an order around 9:40PM, but the waiter told us around 10:20PM that it was sold out. I was very upset and disappointed at that moment. Banana cream pie was the ONLY reason and motivation make me want come to this restaurant. We ended up spent $50 just for two appetizers and two drinks.

So let me tell you about my experience. I have been telling my girlfriend how good Ruth Chris is for months. We moved here from Phoenix and it was my favorite steakhouse. So my girlfriend surprised me with making a reservation. it was a disaster. They seated us 1/2 hour late. My girlfriend ordered a medium filet and I ordered a medium rare filet. The steaks came and my girlfriends came perfect (perfect if she would have ordered medium rare). Mine came rare. So I sent mine back and she started to eat hers. Well you can only imagine how they brought mine back. If you guessed overdone then you would be right. The manager was nice and offered to bring another one. At this point it was already spoiled and I said no. He pushed and promised it would be the best steak of my life. I said ok. Six minutes later a new one came and it was dried out on the outside and raw on the inside. He then gave up and said it was up to me on what I wanted to do. I asked for the check so I could just leave. They ended up charging me for my girls steak which I commented on being medium rare, the sides and the drinks. I know they were very busy. But for the money they charge I expect the very best and my 45 dollar steak to be right. I don't think I would have wrote such a bad review if they just said sorry, we were swamped tonight. I understand that we didn't hit the mark and we are taking care of your bill tonight and next time you come in, we will make it up to you. But instead we paid for a steak with maybe 3 bites out if it, potatoes with 3 bites, a few french fries and 2 ice teas. With with and parking came out to 80 bucks. That's a bunch of crap. Now you ask why the tip if it was so bad. Tommy out waiter was the best. It wasn't his fault and I know they basically work on tips. Tommy you are great and I thank you for trying to fix it. I know you also got hammered from the people next to us who had to send there steaks back also. I hope they took care of you also. So at this point I would not recommend this location to anyone. I have always gotten grade a service from them in Scottsdale and Phoenix Az. I'm am so disappointed that I'm also going to call there corporate office monday. Thank you for reading this long winded review.

I cannot say enough about this Ruth Chris! You get what you pay for. New York strip was cooked perfectly medium rare and shrimp was seasoned perfect. Truly a flawless dining experience. Will be going back. You will not be disappointed!

I have always loved Ruth Chris ever since I was a little girl! They are always consistent with the great service and amazing food. There are only a few places I will actually order a steak and here is one of them because it is always "out of this world" good!! Also, you never have to worry about parking because they have free valet.

What a Great service "Congrats Waitress" and very elegant place... The food was great except... I order a filet mignon to be cooked at medium but .... It came well done :(. I was kind of disappointed. I missed Morton's restaurant in that moment :)

Probably one of my new favorite restaurants. I have dined in 5 star restaurants before but the quality of the food or service was not worth it, however Ruth Chris is AWESOME! Excellent service from start to finish. All the food I had was amazing from their calamari appetizer, to their salads, lobster mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, sauteed mushrooms, LITERALLY everything. I loved the fact that you have the option to order an meal that includes the main dish and a side and not just a la carte items like most steak houses. I would recommend this place to anyone looking to "fine dine"

I have been to Ruth's several times, this being my first at this location. Was again nothing short of very good steak here. I got the cowboy ribeye cooked medium and it came out as ordered. I started off with wedge salad. I really love the way they make there dressing at Ruth's, more blue cheese crumbles than dressing, nicely done. We also got the lobster Mac and cheese which I was not impressed with it and would not get it again. Service was good but not great. I'd come back here with no problem. Overall good experience and what I have come to expect from Ruth's.

Christmas Eve 2014. The kids want steak and it sounds like a great idea. And you know what, it's expensive as heck but worth every single penny. Appetizers like stuffed clams and calamari are perfect. Steaks cooked to perfection and some of the best desserts I have we had. Do not miss.

Looking forward to eating at Ruth's Chris for years...saving up my money and developing high expectations from reviews from yelp and word of mouth. Took my boyfriend out for his birthday on a Sunday. Upon arrival, valet was courteous as well as the hostess. We were promptly sat since there was not a line to get in. I immediately noticed the white tablecloth and fork were not clean. We were greeted by our waitress immediately who took our drink order and later on dinner order. After that it was just regular service..."how was dinner and would you like anything else?" Nothing spectacular about the service. With the expectations of service normally given at a fine steakhouse, i was sorely disappointed. As for the dinner, the steak arrived on a white plate with splatter everywhere. Presentation was awful. I felt I could have cooked this steak myself and made it look better. Taste was average. The nice part about dinner, though, was when a cake was presented for my boyfriend's birthday. But unfortunately I wont be dining here again.

Ok, I know many people like this place and may have had a better dining experience than I, but I was NOT impressed at all! You would expect better quality food for the kind of money they charge but I gotta say that either this place has lost its touch or should lower their prices. WI shared a NY strip steak ($43). We ordered the Lyonnaise potatoes as per the waiter's recommendations and has one bite and that was enough to let him know I was not happy with it. The potatoes were way over cooked and not worth the recommendation. He brought us creamed spinach instead which were better but still nothing special. The steak itself was just ok nothing great. I swear I cook a better steak!! The best thing was the sweet potato casserole my friend had and the service. The waiter was very animated and nice but not enough to go back.

Went here on a Friday night, service was probably the best part of the evening. The wine selection was very nice and the bar tender was attentive, never felt rushed to finish our drinks so we would have to buy more. When it came time to go into the dinning room for our reservation the hostess was very nice and explained the menu well. I ordered the Caesar salad, really not the best... the Parmesan cheese on top was hard and many pieces of the lettuce where brown , my husband ordered the soup which was an interesting taste in a good way. I ordered the chicken because I'm not the biggest red meat eater, big mistake it was soaking in butter and part of the chicken wasn't cooked all the way through but I guess that's why you get steak at a steakhouse. My husband ordered the NY Strip which I tasted and was good, but like he said he could have done a better job at home. For desert we had the Banana Cream Pie which was delicious. In all not that great for the price, looking back on the meal I would just order the Pie and a glass of wine.

Really amazing meal here. My husband has been here before (again not this location) and raved about the quality. I wasn't sure a meal could be worth $140 but the food was really great! We each had a drink. The meals and service were both quite outstanding!!!! It was a great treat but not something you would want to do often.

Yes, it's delicious. Yes, your steak will sizzle, Yes, the service is great. It's not an inexpensive meal, but it's got everything going for it. Don't miss the Bread pudding dessert. Force yourself if you have to... it's incredible.

One of the best meals I've had in quite some time. My dad and boyfriend and I are all big steak eaters and we all agreed that our steaks may have been the best we'd ever had. The sides were also delicious and the service was fantastic. However if you're not ready to drop some serious dollars, then this may not be the place for you.

My first time here was yesterday for Valentines day. I had a reservation for 9:30 and arrived a little late at about 9:50 but was still made a priority and was seated within 5 minutes even though there was a long wait oh ppl without reservations I loved. There is only valet parking but it is complementary. From the start the staff was very friendly, everyone there was friendly and on point. I ordered the Caesar salad which was so good, for my auntie I got the 6 oz filet butter flied which came 3 large sized shrimp on top and for my side I ordered the mash potatoes. That steak was the most tender steak I ever had, it melted in my mouth it was great. Great quality. I've even at a lot of steakhouses but this place was the best in terms of the quality, it was top notch. My boyfriend ordered the filet with two lobster tails and lobster mac for his side. I tried some of his food of course lol. The lobster was cooked to perfection and you could test the freshness of the lobster which was excellent. His steak also melted like butter in your mouth lol yummy. The lobster Mac was really good. Our waiter was excellent, he didn't miss a beat. He was friendly and attentive. Even the buss boys were great. They were friendly and helpful. Anyways, this restaurant was great and the food is excellent. It is a bit pricey but so worth it. A lot of other restaurants I've been too are pricey but the service sucks and the food is sub par but that wasn't the case at Ruth Chris. I will defiantly be returning.

Had a great dining experience. Ribeye was juicy, sweet potato casserole was great and banana cream pie is a must! Bartender Jack, the waitresses Sherry and Barbara were very accommodating. Great tip is happy hour at 4:30p, drinks and appetizers 50% off is a super deal.

Tried to get a last minute reservation for a Saturday night however they were booked, so the hostess recommended we come in and eat at the bar. We did so and it was a great experience Jack the bartender was AMAZING!!!!! The food is always great here so you can't go wrong. I think we will be eating at the bar from now on.

I heard about the happy hour here and of course had to try it out! Complimentary valet was a nice surprise. Crowd seems to be mostly regulars at the bar, and it's an interesting set up.. The bar area is a little, dark room separate from the rest of the dining room but had an upscale ambience. The wait staff was friendly and attentive. I had the blueberry mojito. One of the best flavored mojitos I have had in a long time! Not too sour or sweet, not too much floating particles getting stuck in my straw, it was just right! I also ordered the steak sandwich: this is filet drizzled with bernaise! I recommend getting it without the bread because it's a little dry if you eat it as an actual sandwich. Overall I think an awesome deal for 8$!! Now, given that this was a steak house I really had been itching to try, I had high expectations of the steak. Maybe because it was happy hour, or maybe because of the way they cut up the steak into different sized chunks, or maybe it was just a fluke......but my steak wasn't cooked to perfection the way I had expected. I ordered the steak medium rare...but half the pieces I found to be medium and the other half a full bloody rare. Given that this was happy hour and I was only paying 8$ I didn't say anything about it. I would probably try having an actual dinner at this restaurant in the future, maybe the full cut of meat will be better cooked.

Best steak of my life. Seriously. Where do they get their meat from?! Dinner here was absurdly good. I got the filet with scallops on top. Nice! I have had better scallops, but the steak was so freakin good it didn't even matter. Side of creamed spinach delish. Lobster bisque? Holy goodness, so yum. Oh.. did I mention a whiskey bread pudding for dessert? Oh, I didn't? Well... they do have it even if not on the menu and it is ridiculous. Do yourself a favor and get it even if you are full - it is huge and you will have leftovers that may be even better the next day. Other things to be noted: Service was GREAT! Our water was so friendly and took care of us like we were the only people in the restaurant (I assure you we weren't, very busy that night). The drinks were delish, but no cocktail menu (hey, I'm a girl.. I love cocktail menus). Also, valet only.. but you expected that at a steak house, right? Bring cash for a valet tip.
Well..since all you have to do is come in w/o a rest. and check it out. Of course prices are as other stk houses of their rating. Ordered a ces. Salad.....perfect. ..anchovies on the side as requested. I just get tired of HAVING TO ASK for every little thing. Here. ......it is done. Well when it comes to the perfect stk...it is cooked to order. ...but: Steaks come out w A SALT ON TOP........?/!? First guess was I put salt on myself so I cut stk in half and ...we'll the chef placed salt/butter on top. Service was top notch I must add. But well ........ Here is an honest update. ...the staff. ..well for my opinion; they are top notch. And of course including the the guys that park your car. ..they are super (took a cab so I could see both sides).the only problem I found is when my bone in stk was served; I tasted a major amount of salt. I thought maybe I hit the salt too much so I cut several sections of my stk to find out that MAYBE I hit the salt too much by mistake. (For those that are guessing. ..I was drinking ice tea so liquor was not a factor).YELP (and pun intended) too much salt with the butter sauce that was served. Here is a small recap (I rase beef that is stamped PRIME so I think I can judge a piece of beef) actually it is quite simple to end up with cattle graded as prime beef.all one has to do is ,feed the cattle the finest feed for the entire time that you have them; purest water...mom medication ...no steroids. ..give them 10 arc. per head of the finest grass always at their opinion to eat.do not make them run for feeding. (more fat...more flavor) that is just a few things. The point is it cost about three times as what you pay in a fine restaurant for beef. This is how one goes out and has a great cut of beef. Believe me and from a vast array of experience. ...you will tell when you have a great steak.hands down. ..you will know. Forgot the cost of the beef...that is not the factor...it is how it is raised and aged. (Whole separate topic) Good eating to all...

I came here for lunch on a Thursday. Food is amazing but service was horrible. As soon as I walked in I felt an awkward stare. The hostess gave us like a racist stare. I also noticed that our server didn't talk to my table like other servers did with other tables. I remember his name as well Magnus. The hostess was Carolyn. They didn't make my boyfriend and I feel welcomed. I've been to Ruth Chris in different parts. San Juan, PR and Charlotte, NC; a great experience everytime. But I was highly disappointed, I wanted to leave. I almost sensed racism. I will not be dining at this location anymore.

The best steak I ever had fine dinning at its best. they also paid attention to detail it was our anniversary day and when we mad reservations they must have paid attention to details because when we got at our table to our surprise there were rose pelts and they decorated nice and very classy. this was totally unexpected from a restaurant.

I have been to a lot of steak houses around the country but the Ruth's Chris in Fort Lauderdale may be the best steak I have ever consumed. I visited last week with several family members who have dined there before and in advance they were telling me to be prepared for a treat. Among the steaks ordered were a porterhouse, filet mignonette and New York strip. Accompaniments included creamy spinach, baked potato and Caesar Salad, among others. Let me say the portions are massive. Be careful to share the sides. The service was outstanding and the wine list is excellent. The atmosphere is very nice but don't expect the New York, Ivy League club environment. Well done, uncluttered and clean sight lines throughout. Now the main attraction.....the beef! Simply melts in your mouth and cooked to perfection. Charred just as I ordered but succulent. Not sure how they prep their meat but whatever the chef is doing, it is amazing. As a note, I've been to the Ruth's Chris in Charlotte, Las Vegas and Edgewater, New Jersey, all good but not nearly as good as Lauderdale.

I'm not a really steak person, but I decided to take my boyfriend here for a nice date night. The service is wonderful. The staff was super friendly and helpful. We both ordered the filets. They were cooked absolutely perfectly! And I love that they bring them out on super hot plates so it stays warm throughout the meal. Of course even though the staff warned me twice that the plates are hot I still forgot and touched it. Ow. Lol. We ordered the sweet potato pie for a side and split it because sides are pretty large. That had to be one of the beast things Ive ever eaten! Highly recommended. This place is great, but there were so many tourists in board shorts and Hawaiian t shirts that it kind of killed the ambiance. Which is why I only gave it 4 stars. Its pretty pricey, but the food is worth it.

I feel as if any Ruth's Chris will not disappoint. This one is smaller then some but great as always. Service is impeccable, steak is made just right. A great date night or celebration place.

Ruth Chris has never failed to deliver a great experience, and this Valentine's Day was no exception. Service was amazing, food was great and I couldn't complain if I wanted to. Great evening and thanks for accomodating us after being late!

This place was great. Great service, great food. My girlfriend and I vacationed in fort lauderdale and tried a local place The night before (that was awful) and we decided to stick with what we know. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because a place has to blow my mind. I feel 5 stars are given out too often I was totally impressed by a waiter named Tony. He has a lot of character and personality. Although he wasn't our waiter, I noticed him across the room and had to get a word with him. And I wasn't disappointed. Stafani, was our waitress. And she was amazing. She had great suggestions, and didn't lose her cool when the table next to us was complaining about everything about their meal. Getting the manager involved and everything. I think that that table was putting on a dog and pony show to get a free meal. I'll be back to this location if I'm ever in town again

Where to begin. I'm a foodie and a tough critic, give me a good steak and I'm happy as a clam. I've dined at quite a few 4-5 star steakhouses and was told by my fellow foodie friend that I needed to try Ruth's Chris for "the best steak I've ever had" so I decided to go here for Valentine's Day with my husband even though I am not really one for chain steakhouses. We arrived about 5 min early and didn't get seated until about 25 min after our reservation. Whatever. I was in the biz for quite a while and I get it, that didn't bother me at all. We ordered a bottle of wine and got right down to business. I got the ribeye, my husband got the filet. I know, I know, we're a little backwards. There was nothing wrong with my steak, it was cooked rare how I like it but it was just OK, not impressed at all. His steak was good in flavor, a little dry. We also had the asparagus that served no purpose at all. It was bland, cold and so was the hollandaise. As for service, our waiter Magnus was very nice, but most of the time was nowhere to be found. I understand it's probably their busiest holiday but don't overwhelm a server if they can't handle it. Quality service is expected at a Steakhouse charging these prices. We decided to get dessert and Magnus dropped off the menu without a word. When he finally returned I asked about the banana cream pie because I saw online that they had it. Glad I asked because he never bothered to tell us about any dessert specials. When the dessert came It was the icing on the cake of disappointment for the evening. It was horrible. I didn't understand if it was supposed to be hot or cold??? It was cold but it was just weird... it seemed like it just came out of a too cold fridge after being in there for a while. All in all, I really don't understand the reviews on this place and wouldn't bother to go back. I've had better meals at Outback.

The reviews are accurate in that the service is truly outstanding. The service was so outstanding that I forgot I was in South Florida for a moment. Everyone from the hostess to the waiter to the busboys are extremely friendly and personable. They were efficient and did not leave us waiting. Drinks were replenished and the food was brought out quickly. However, they burned my steak. I ordered it medium and it was nearly well done with the outside charred crisp. It was obvious they forgot and left it in the broiler too long and tried to get away with serving it. I had them take it back and asked for a medium rare steak instead. They were gracious and did not give me a hard time or act upset. The manager came out and apologized. The second steak was better but still a little bit on the rare side. Still it was tasty. The sides were prepared well. The cheesecake was a bit runny and had been sitting outside a bit long. Overall, I would come back here. My wife's seabass was a bit "fishy" tasting. I've eaten at other Ruth Chris steakhouses and the food is better at those other locations. However, the service was so good that I will definitely come back. I would definitely recommend ordering your steaks medium rare or less as it seemed like they overcooked the steaks tonight. My friend's rare steak was medium rare.

Well, my wife and I have been to Ruth's in many different locations, and have had meals rating from about 3.5 stars to tonights 5 stars. As my by-line says "Im tough on food" but tonight we had the best experience in a high end steak house since Peter Luger's in New York a few years ago. This place is very well run and the training shows. Everything from the valet service, to the host who seated us, to the salads and Porterhouse steak for two (which was amazing), the creamed spinach, and the coldest bottle of beer I ever had, everything was perfect. I don't use the word perfect very often because even dining out 5 days a week like we do, we almost never experience perfect. In fact, having made probably 40 trips to many different Ruth's locations around the country this was the first "perfect" experience and it was in the Ft. Lauderdale location. The GM came to our table personally to ask if we were completely satisfied and I was really unable to find anything to improve the experience. He gave me his card and thanked me for coming. I will certainly come again when in the mood for beef and give them every opportunity to give me a reason to complain about something, but tonight there was none! GO TRY THIS RESTAURANT! This GM has really got this place firing on all cylinders!

I go there alone during the week and sit in the front room. Staff is really friendly and you dont feel like a loser by yourself. The filet is phenomenal. The Chopped salad is just enough so you can skip sides and dessert and keep calories down. Save them for a perfect martini!

Food was OK, although we had reservations and were seated quickly and also ordered almost as soon as we were seated, the food took forever, if they went outside and slaughtered the cow for the meal it may have been faster.

Its Ruth's Chris... Need I say anything else?! If you haven't had a steak here...well then you'll probably live longer than I, but I'll definitely be happier!! It's really frickin delicious if you couldn't already deduce that. My only gripe with this specific location is the decor. I've only been here once but I felt like I was in a time warp when I walked in. It's vintage late 70's/80's. I'm pretty sure whichever restaurant group owns Ruth's Chris has some extra cash laying around to give this place a face lift. Regardless...you should go!

Great service, great food, plus they let you bring your own wine only 10.00 Corking charge. Best steak house in fort Lauderdale , I have eaten at them all of Them.

All I can say is: This is one hell of a chain! I've been to other locations, but I particularly liked this one. Let me start with the very unique 'Oysters Rockefeller" - wonderful. Moving on to the steak house salad with the incredible blue cheese dressing. Then the tender fillet that was like "butter". I couldn't believe we had room to split a dessert- but the "Chocolate Sin Cake" could not be resisted. And yes, it was sinful.

Disappointing fillet. I've been dining at Ruth's Chris for years and it's likely going to be years before I dine at one again. Many like myself come back for the sizzling, high temperature, buttery plate your steak is served on. A great fillet should be shaped sort of like a hockey puck and be melt in your mouth tender, tasty and cooked spot on. What I'm increasingly finding at Ruth's is a fillet that looks like it's got compartments as opposed to being one solid puck, and the end result is a tough steak that's disappointing. Unfortunately, when the steak is disappointing the dining experience is as well. The wife and I have consistently had better steak elsewhere which unfortunately, doesn't come on that buttery, sizzling, high temperature plate. While the way Ruth's serves their steak may be great, it's the steak itself that's lacking. My guess is the fillet here takes a back seat to price points and profit margins. When you spend $300.00 for a table of four, there's an expectation the cut of steak being served is going to be up there with the rest of the best. While we were asked many times how things were, over half of my fillet remained uneaten after several attempts to find a chewable section of the steak failed. I opted not to call it to the servers attention to save myself the dialogue over a bum steer. And here's a tip to servers: When you have multiple orders for the exact same steak, cooked the exactly the same way, give the one that looks like a hockey puck to the person who's name the reservation is in. They are likely the one who's picking up the tab and are the most likely to be displeased with the bum steer, because they are picking up the tab. The accompanying out of town visitor or teenager that is getting the better looking steak, their thoroughly enjoying isn't the one paying or deciding which restaurant to dine at. Anyone who's not shelling out anything for a dining experience is going to be far less likely to be disappointed with a tuff steak than someone who is.

I go hear about once a week for happy hour the service and the food is top notch. You can never go wrong with anything you order. You never leave here disappointed.

The steaks are fantastic, highly recommend their filets though. They are incredibly juicy and come out at a sizzling on literally a 500 degree plate. I had a lobster tail here once as well, those were extremely good, great match with their steaks as well. The sides as well such as the mashed potatoes, creamed spinach, they are really good to. I have always had an incredible meal here actually, this is absolutely why Ruth's in Ft. Lauderdale, FL gets five stars based on their food alone. The drinks are awesome here as well, there Old Fashion's here are one of a kind, house made bitters I believe, a really nice touch on this classy drink. They have a very nice international wine selection as well here to complement any seafood or meat entry. Lastly, the customer service at this place is outstanding. They make you feel special every time and will go all out when you are celebrating a birthday, special occasion, or anniversary for dinner. From the friendly bar tenders to the very attentive dinning room staff, Ruth's Chris is one of if not thee best restaurant for an incredible dining experience a place to have a delicious steak.

I usually stay away from chain restaurants because most of them don't have the ambiance or the personal touch to the food they are serving. Ruth Chris on Federal isn't that much of an exception with regards to the ambiance or the personal touch, but where they are an exception is in the quality, taste and flavor of the food served. Ruth Chris claims to sear their meat at 1,800 degrees and serve it at 500. Possibly the magic of the rich delicious meat flavor is in the 1,800 degree searing, which is a technique difficult to reproduce in the home. Everyone at my table ordered their steaks done different, such as in medium, medium rare & etc. I order mine Pittsburgh and was pleased that the waiter knew exactly what that meant and took my order with so much of even raising an eyebrow. Each of our steaks were served perfectly as order, all were of top quality meat as well as delicious; totally rich in meat flavor. For sides, which by the way were each at an extra charge, I had the baked potato and the creamed spinach. Not much I can say about a mundane baked potato but there is a lot I can say about their creamed spinach. It was just about the best, most flavorful creamed spinach I've ever had. The dinning area, even though recently redone is rather noisy and to my eye lacking in character. Though the tables are elegantly set, the linen table cloth perfect, it still had that chainy restaurant feeling to it which is something that its competitors such, as Mortons and Capital Grill, seem to have overcome. Though the food really was five stars in flavor and quality, and because I can't really say I'm a fan of the place, I'll compromise it at four stars as it really was excellent.

An excellent dining experience. I know this is a chain company but I would consider it the best location in the chain along with an excellent run company. I would recommend this restaurant and will definitely return. Food: The food is consistantly excellent as I have frequented this location a number of times. The quality of ingredients are excellent. The kitchen puts out the orders suprisingly fast with each plate painstakingly designed to appeal to the palate. So you've got great quality, great visual affect, and great taste....I should stop here but I can't. Also note the early happy hour "Sizzle Swizzle & Stir" is worth checking out any day but Saturday for great values. Service: If you read some of my other reviews you'll know that I don't fluff much unless justified. This restaurant provides more service than three (3) restaurants combined. The host(s), the wait staff, the bar staff, the food carriers, the manager, and the valet attendants are all classy, professional, and personable. And they all work together like a family and good teammates. I've only been to a few other restuarants that have this skill consistantly. Venue: This is a high-end restaurant and the dining area, bar area, seats, & tableware all suggest the same. There are a few large dining rooms and a separate bar area. Although the restaurant seats many I don't think they have provisions for private groups. Parking: I believe they only have valet parking. Reservations: They take reservations and walk-ins. You can make reservations by phone or online. Again, I would highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely return.

I doubt Ruth's Chris needs another great review but I'll throw in my 2 cents! Last time we went was for our 20th anniversary earlier this month. I've been going to this location for 25 years so no surprises. I've been doing rib-eyes for the last few years and decided to try the filet mignon. Wow! If this steak were any more tender you could drink it through a straw. One of the things I love about RC is the consistency. I've eaten at all of the other big name steak houses because I frequently entertain clients. There's not a single steak house besides RC that hasn't had an off night with either food or service. The remarkable thing I noticed is that their entree prices were nearly 10% less than some other local high end steak houses!

My husband and I came to Ruth Chris to celebrate our 15th anniversary and we had an incredible dinner! The staff was extremely courteous and welcoming. The attention to detail is also undeniable. When we arrived they congratulated us for our anniversary and then wisked us off to our beautifully decorated table. Pat our waitress was pleasant and knowledgeable. The food was piping hot, juicy, perfectly cooked, and the portions were just right. For dessert they brought us a delectable chocolate flour less cake with berries and vanilla ice cream decorated with happy anniversary. We have found our new favorite restaurant. This is a must try for fine dining!

This place was really good EVERYONE like it ...We started out at happy hour & the service was super ...the menu was great & the food was superb. Everything we ordered in the dining room was great & cooked perfectly ( I often take clients out to steak houses & for some reason its hard to cook steak to the correct temp. here) I will be honest to you the happy hour menu items are huge ...try the crab BLT it is awesome...the spicy lobster was not spicy but really sweet & not that great

I walked off a plane in Fort Lauderdale and decided that Ruth Chris sounded like a nice way to start the week off. RC delivers unmatched service in every location I've dined in and the Fort Lauderdale location was no exception. The wine list is certainly quality and my steak was done as requested...once again consistantancy is the Ruth Chris way. The only issue is that RC is really getting the price point to a level that may be too high for the quality of the meal. Don't get me wrong, steaks are good as was the wine, but some of the competition is serving comparable food and wine for quite a bit less. Still, it's a safe choice for a steak and I will remain a fan ...unless I lose my job! ;-)

We had a reservation to celebrate my son's birthday, and boy was it a celebration. The moment we walked in we felt like family and were seated immediately. The wine steward brought over a nice selection of wine for us and we began ordering. The appetizers... calamari, ahi tuna and barbecue shrimp were all wonderful, the Cesar salad with anchovies equally as wonderful, and that was just the beginning. We had the porterhouse for two, which was prepared to perfection, as well as the petite filet and the lamb chops. I can't say thank you enough for the perfect attentive but not hanging on us type of service. All in all the meal, the service and the staff gave us one of the finest experiences in restaurant service that I've had in a long time, and all of us enjoyed our meals entirely.

Expensively Delicious! Tasty yes, affordable no. It may be one of the best steaks around, but it will cost a lump sum.

I went here for my anniversary. We both ordered the Filets. Steaks were as soft as butter and melted in your mouth. Sweet Potato casserole was out of this world. Staff was extremely friendly and went well above and beyond by giving us a photo of my wife and I and putting rose pedals on our table. I highly recommend this restaurant for any special occasion. They will definitely make it a time you will remember.

Service was very good. Lamb chops were a embarrassment to Ruth Chris! Best way to sum my review up is if that chef served those same lamb chops to the owners of Ruth Chris he would be looking for a new job the next day!

Sure, I'm reviewing a chain restaurant, but our New Year's Eve dinner at Ruth's Chris Steak House was one of the best NYE dinners I've ever had! Our server's name was Jayden, and he was a muscle-bound body builder guy w/ spikey hair and a perma tan. Welcome to South Florida! He even made a comment about having bigger forearms than my dad's head. Ha! Stereotypes aside, he was professional and great at his job, explaining everything and considering the little things like whether or not my mom wanted actual anchovies on top of her caesar salad. The rib eye I had was AMAZING! Steaks come on a hot plate at Ruth's Chris, which keeps your food warm right up until the last bite. Also, the meat was all buttery. Drool factory. Sides were excellent (potatoes au gratin, garlic whipped potates, asparagus, creamed spinach), and the Cabernet we were sipping on was sublime. At the end of the meal, the hostess ladies called us a van cab to take us back to the hotel marina. Our party was in excellent shape after dinner, so that we could celebrate 2010 on happy, full stomachs. Ruth's Chris - I love you!

Went to this restaurant for valentines day and was very happy with the food and service. The only reason this location is not getting 5/5 rating is for the layout of the restaurant... It was very packed and didn't feel very intimate.

My fiance and I ate here for the first time a few months ago. Obviously I've heard of Ruth Chris before and was expecting a great experience overall. We were greated kindly at the hostess stand and they had a table reserved for us which was nice. I did not like the layout of the restaurant it felt kind of like a cafeteria with nice table clothes, the seating just wasn't very private or intimate. Well I would say the experience was mediocre at best. I got a filet with some shirmp on the side and my finace got a filet with some sort of topping. We got some sides I don't remember what they were as they weren't very memorable. We started with an appetizer I dont remeber what it was because it honestly was not impressive at all. When we sat down there were some crumbs on our table and the wine glasses had some water marks on them. Typically little things like this don't bother me, but with the price and well established company name I expected perfection. After we ate our crumbly bread I would have thought the server would have used their crumber to clean off the table, but nope that never happened until we were completely finished with our entrees. I gave this 3 stars because the filets where pretty good definitely not the best I've ever had, but also no where near the worse. So with all that being said I'll never go back to Ruth Chris again unless I have no say in the matter.

5 star reviews are rare for me, but this Ruth's Chris location gets one. Tonight was our four year anniversary so I made a reservation on their site. One of the questions was if the meal was a special event with a choice of birthday, anniversary or other. I chose anniversary. We arrived and discovered that a quiet table was waiting for us with a bed of rose petals and a happy anniversary card from the staff. We both order the filet meal, which included a salad and a side. Our filet's were perfectly cooked and everything was simply delish. Our waiter was attentive and we waited for nothing. Another surprise at the end of the dinner was a free dessert with happy anniversary written in chocolate on the plate. It likely would have been an expensive dessert, but it did not appear on the check. I have always loved Ruth's Chris for random nights out, but this will now be our special occasions restaurant, too.

My boyfriend of 5 years made reservations probably 2-3 days in advance. We did not get the time we wanted but we were fine with that. We got there a few minutes early, we were seated immediately. They served warm bread and water immediately. We did wait a few minutes before our waitress came and took our order. She thought we were married so she addressed us as Mr. and Mrs....... I quickly corrected her but I loved the idea that she knew our names. Anyways, I ordered the lobster bisque. My boyfried ordered the cajun style soup. I had the medillion and shrimp entree and my boyfriend ordered the steak and lobster. Our sides were mushroom and cream spinach - delicious. For dessert, we shared a creme brulee and we each had a cappucino. It was the perfect valentine's dinner. The food was delicious, the service and the ambiance, you could not ask for more.

This is one of hubby's favorite spots for a nice dinner so, when we decided to have a "date" we chose this location. As usual, it was amazing. We were seated immediately in a very nice spot and we had RONDA COOK as our most gracious, attentive, nice and wonderful server. The boys that were helping with the bread, water and food were wonderful too. I started my meal with their unforgettable Lobster Bisque. To my dismay, it wasn't hot at all. I felt bad complaining so soon but Ronda was extremely nice about it, took the bowl back without an attitude (like in other places) and brought me back the most delicious hot bowl of soup...mmmmm...I enjoyed it to the last drop. Hubby had the escargots in garlic sauce and they were delcious as well. For our meal hubby ordered the rib eye (of course, what else) and I ordered, to Ronda's suggestion, the crab cakes and, let me tell you...OMG they were OUTSTANDING. We were both extremely happy and satisfied with our evening at Ruth Chris....as always!

Great as always. In keeping with the standard I have come to expect from Ruth's. Great steak, delicious sides, nice wine list. When you are in the mood for a steak and you don't want to mess around.. this is a place you can count on!

I'm not huge on steak, but it is excellent. The sides are ok...nothing to go crazy for...I just come here for the good ol Rib-eye. I'd really be fine with that and a salad. Great portions and no wait (then, again I usually come in an hour or two before close). I usually grab a seat at the bar, and my server is awesome (can't remember his name, but I will give him a personal recommendation shout when I do).

Great ambiance, food, selection and service. Overall no serious complaints. I tought the sides were with too much oil/butter ( like the gratin spinnach ) but dinner was great.

Where else can you get a great steak in the Ft. Lauderdale area? Every time I come to Ruth's Chris, the steak is cooked to perfection! The crazy part is (maybe I'm from NY) I didn't think it was too expensive?!?! I ordered standard fare, Filet cut, salad with Blue Cheese and Creamed Spinach with no desert, under 50 bucks? Damm baby! NYBULLY

My wife & I dined at Ruth Chris in Fort Lauderdale,Fl last night (April 06,2013). After returning to our hotel, my wife started vomiting & had severe diarrhea all night. I experienced severe cramping and diarrhea. The only item that we both shared was the Escargot

Food was great. Atmosphere was very boring. Table maintenance was terrible. Dirty plates were left on table when next course was served. Never refreshed silverware for main course. Should have eaten in the bar - they are great in there! Could have been short staffed in dining room.

They changed their menu :-( Okay - so I think I'm the only person in this planet that goes to a steakhouse for fish (every time I go). Not a big deal, since most highend steakhouses usually have good fish. Well, let's just say the first time i had a tuna steak it was at this Ruth Chris, and I loved it so much, it is just about the only thing I order whenever I go out to a nice dinner. I was so excited to have that delicious steak this past saturday only to be 10000% disappointed when it was a few overcooked pieces of tuna with tons of crab meat on top. No biggie, maybe I orderd the wrong one (I thought), so I changed my order to the appetizer tuna - BAD. Not bad as in don't order it, more like bad as in - it still wasn't what I remembered or wanted. By this point everyone is enjoying their meal and I was hungry, so I just ate it. But I was completely disappointed. Add to that, that my hubs wanted a cut of meat they didn't even have on the menu and it's pretty common - Prime Rib - that was unexpected. he settled for the Rib Eye - which was good, but not what he originally wanted. Their cream of spinach is always good, the sweet potato suffle was delicious - especially if you combine both. I had the bread pudding dessert, and my hubs who doesn't like chocolate, liked the chocolate mouse thingy he got. In all, I don't really think I'll be returning to Ruth Chris by choice or request. If that's where the family is celebrating, I'll deal, but I don't like steak, and I don't want to go eat chicken... guess I'll try another fish. Oh - don't want to leave on a sour note so I'll add that the pomegranite martini was great!!!

we went here for a girls night out. there was free valet, which is convenient, considering the parking lot is hard to access. we came here, because they were having a prix fixed menu deal, salad, entree with veggies, and dessert for one great low price... to start, I had the caesar salad. nice taste, and the anchovies were definitely in the salad. I ordered the lamb chops, which comes serves with the mint jelly that people like so much, but i'm not a fan. The lamb chop was good. i wouldn't call it the best i've ever had, but if I were craving it and happened to be at this restaurant, I would order it again. The veggies that came along with my entree, though, were cold, so that was a downer. We had the chocolate mousse afterwards, and it was great! soo rich and creamy, but not overbearing, and very enjoyable. i would come back just for the dessert. this is a good steakhouse, I can see why people frequent it. i'm just not one of them, given a choice of the many non-chain places, i like to root for the underdog. When this menu deal comes back around, I'm sure I could be persuaded into coming back.

Never been to this location but been to ones in San francisco, Roswell (Atlanta), Denver, and San Diego locations. They were very good and consistent. Only down side is they are so expensive. Everything is ala carte. But the flavor in ur steak is definitely mouth watering.

I read the reviews prior to going. I wasn't expecting a mind blowing experience just a steak specialist! They gave me exactly what I expected for a little more than I was wishing to pay for. The name has an awesome history as was worth the experience. I went for Valentines Day and my girlfriend liked the service, food, and professionalism. Server was nice. Don't set the bar too high on this Ruth Chris and you will have a nice time too.

Seriously, the BEST steak I've ever had! I went there for my birthday dinner and when we arrived they had birthday confetti on the table and a birthday card from the restaurant, nice touch. I had the Ruth classic which came with a petit sirloin with shrimp on top, a side,a salad and dessert for like 40 something dollars. It was well worth it! The ceasar salad was delicious. The steak was so juicy and tender it just melts in the mouth, and the garlic butter sauce that its cooked in is amazing! You don't even need any A1 sauce. Even the shrimp was the best I ever ate. Very tender and seasoned perfectly. My dad ordered the t-bone which was huge. I ordered the mashed potatoes side which we didn't really like, it was a little plain. But the green beans and garlic side was very good and the sweet potato side dish.....omg, let me tell you we all ate that so quick! Service was great, our waiters were very friendly. They brought out a cake and sang a birthday song. Excellent service, very delicious food, I will be back!

I always wanted to try out Ruth's Cris but I wasn't sure if I would like a steak cooked in butter. Well, this experience proved me wrong. I totally enjoyed my experience at this restaurant while on a work trip. Once again, I ordered my black n blue porterhouse w/ a side of asparagus and bernaise sauce. The steak came out perfectly dark on the outside and rare on the inside. Just the way I like it. Make sure to come here on an empty stomach.

The steaks were very good (though I asked for medium and mine came out bloody and looking more like medium rare-- but I decided I was OK with it because I didn't want to send it back). I had the filet, and I preferred its to my date's steak (though they were both very good). The hearts of palm and asparagus salad was also delish. The only major let-down was the mashed potatoes- they were runny and just not very flavorful. The creamed spinach was also just decent, but not great. The atmosphere inside was pretty boring too and not much to look at.

I went with couple of my girlfriends last year for Valentine's day. I ordered prime rib steak and it was delicious. As a side I had mashed potatoes, which were delish, and steamed veggies.....that dissapointed me a bit due to the fact that they served it cold. I cannot stand cold steamed veggies, no taste nor texture for me. I was not a huge fan of anchovies on my salad but salad was great. Chocolate mousse was soooo good, I might have licked the plate at the end so I could try to keep as much of that flavor in my mouth as possible.

While I wouldn't rate this chain's Ft. Lauderdale locale as a world class restaurant by any means, it is the best steakhouse in Broward County and thus gets its 5 stars from me. Having sampled Ruth's Chris's in several states, this one is amongst my favorites, perhaps partly due to the dearth of close competitors in the area. This Ruth's Chris's has a large space with good, knowledge service, a wine list that is a bit pricey for domestic selections, but some reasonable gems for those who love their European wines, or who are daring enough to leave their comfort zones and try some. But, the real reason to eat here is because of the insanely decadent food. Basically, the Ruth's Chris creedo is "butter is better," which while it won't help your waistline, will deliver a scrumptious meal. The lobser bisque is fabulous, as is the insanely rich bone-in ribeye which is, of course, cooked at butter at tempatures in excess of 1200 degrees. Even the 'girly' cheese-stuffed chicken is great.

I have been to Ruth Chris in Chicago so I knew it would be good. We went for my boyfriend's birthday when we were visiting and overall we had a great time. The service was amazing and the food was prepared perfectly. It is expensive but they offer a fixed price three course menu which is awesome! I would suggest going here.

I have never wanted to eat here. That old phrase, "Don't judge a book by its cover" completely didn't apply for me. The name Ruth and steak didn't appeal to me. (I apologize to anyone named Ruth, it's not that I don't like the name). And I had this impression that the interior would be dated, dark, brown. We got a gift certificate in the mail for $50 at Ruth's. Well, you can't pass up a discount on steak so we went. Reservation did exactly that, reserved us a table, we were seated with out a wait. Bread was warm with delicious butter. Yeah. Wine list was good, ordered a shiraz that came recommended with a filet. It was delicious. (I have a terrible tendency to forget what wine I order, apologies!) Ordered a baby arugula salad with crumbled bacon, egg and a vinagrette, a medium filet and a side of creamed spinach. I will eat one of these steaks any time it is welcomed. My filet arrived on a sizzling plate of butter. Each bite I cut I drenched each side in butter. Each bite then melted on my tongue. I knew I shouldn't have eaten as much as I did but c'mon! It's mouth watering filet. Our server was prompt and attentive. But the decor, I might have to agree with C.P. here. It was dated, old, not very appealing. Thankfully the food made me forget about it. Though it seemed appropriate that a man with a great mustache walked in looking just like the late Robert Goule. Dessert was a miss. Chocolate and espresso cake, good but I've had better. I would probably take another steak, a smaller one! Yes, I would return here but I'd have to get another 'discount'...I do care what my surroundings are like, preferably not dating itself 25-30 years.

If you're a "Steak" person... If your idea of eating out is the finest steak you can buy... If excellent steak means more to you than money... If you want service that is second to none... There's only one answer...Ruth's Chris. No, it isn't cheap. Yes, it's a chain. No, it isn't the best atmosphere. Yes, it absolutely the BEST steak in Fort Lauderdale.

Mmmmmmm.... really good steak but not the healthiest. I do recommend it and i think its worth the money.

I came here on a Sunday night. Place was 10% or less full but the service was still slow. For starters, fresh baked bread comes to the table - tasty but burned at the top. O.K. Next was the onion soup. That was pretty good though the bowl is pretty small for $9.00 (more like a small cup.) Then there was the steak : If you like your prime steak coming to you in a 1/4" of melter butter, than this is the place for you. The first steak (ordered black and blue) was medium to medium well. The replacement steak was cooked fair enough but was literally soaking in butter. I found it disgusting and would never go back to a Ruth Chris.

Where do I begin?! Let's start off with the exceptional service. My waiter and his assistant, Dupree were excellent, very attentive and responded to my requests quickly. The food was oh so delicious! I had a garden salad and stuffed mushrooms for my appetizer. The salad was your basic garden salad with cucumber ranch dressing. I never had that before. It was refreshing and went very well with my salad. The stuffed mushroom were stuffed with lumps of crab meat.. Yummy!! Now to the entrée, I had the filet mignon with lobster tail, green beans sauteed in garlic and baked potato. The filet was one of the best I've had!! So succulent, and cooked to perfection. Everything was phenomenal including my dessert, the crème brulee. It was smooth and creamy, just the way I like it!! All in all, I had a wonderful experience, phenomenal service, and a scrumptious meal. I will definitely be back soon.

Well, the same friend sent me another gift card to Ruth Chris, now for my BDay. I don't want to hurt my friend's feelings, but I am sure not going back to that place.

(5)Stephen C.
How much do you need to say about one of the best steak houses anywhere. Service is always phenomenal and five star. Food is always hot fresh and very consistent. I have never had a bad experience at this place. I will say I prefer the Ft. Lauderdale location over the Coconut Grove location. Despite this being a steak Resturant they have one of the best chicken dishes (stuffed chicken) I have had at any Resturant. My fiancé will not have anything else as her entree. If I was not such a big steak lover that chicken would be my go to entree. All the sides, and apps are great. Our favorites are barbecue shrimps, lobster bisque, and crab cakes. I can go on and on about this place and if you have not been to this place resturant shame on you :)

(4)Kenya E.
(5)MickeyBlue I.
(4)Chris M.
Never had a bad meal at Ruth's Chris. A little pricey but well worth it. Been there more that 50 times. The food is great and the staff is engaging.

They say you can cut a steak with a fork here, they're right! They were awesome! The service ws excellent too. My girlfriend loved the diverse cocktails.
(5)Lauren R.

(5)Steve C.

At Ruth's Chris my dinner was wonderful. The desserts were great and the service was awesome. I highly recommend the steak filet.
(5)Dan F.
I cannot say enough about this Ruth Chris! You get what you pay for. New York strip was cooked perfectly medium rare and shrimp was seasoned perfect. Truly a flawless dining experience. Will be going back. You will not be disappointed!
(5)Megan K.
I have always loved Ruth Chris ever since I was a little girl! They are always consistent with the great service and amazing food. There are only a few places I will actually order a steak and here is one of them because it is always "out of this world" good!! Also, you never have to worry about parking because they have free valet.
(4)Jhon M.
What a Great service "Congrats Waitress" and very elegant place... The food was great except... I order a filet mignon to be cooked at medium but .... It came well done :(. I was kind of disappointed. I missed Morton's restaurant in that moment :)
(3)Evelin B.
(5)Ric R.
(4)Joe D.
(4)Kenny N.
Perfectly prepared signature cocktails with a very delicious and memorable meal. Our visit was extra enjoyable thanks to our server, Maha! Thank you!

This restaurant is absolutely phenomenal. The manager, Richard, is so pleasant and you can see how much he loves his job. He visits each table with enthusiasm and makes every table feel just as special as the last. Food is divine and service is impeccable! Perfect combination.
(5)Frank B.
This establishment is always consistent like any Ruth Chris. Steaks are prepared to perfection, the side are plentiful and the deserts divine. Cheers!

Great drinks. Steak too
(3)Tom F.
(4)Aracelis R.
(5)Sarah S.
(3)Brenna R.
(5)Joshua A.
5 star service with food to match! Definitely go for a special occasion and let them know! I went for my fiancées birthday and noted it when I made my reservation. So upon arriving we were greeted by a table full of Birthday themed confetti and a birthday card (handwritten for a more personal touch). Every one in the restaurant from bus boys to the GM wished her a happy birthday. The GM also visited our table at the end. For the food, started with lobster bisque and house salad, very good, nothing EXTRA special but very good! the steaks were excellent, filet and ribeye had great flavor, very tender and cooked just right. The lobster Mac and cheese "side" was worthy of being an entree on its own! I promise I will be back just for that! Creamed spinach was a nice side, would not recommend the green beans. Had the cheesecake for dessert, great way to end topped with condensed milk and some berries, and a candle for the birthday girl!

(2)Kimberly H.

(5)Alexa V.
(4)Melissa C.
I feel as if any Ruth's Chris will not disappoint. This one is smaller then some but great as always. Service is impeccable, steak is made just right. A great date night or celebration place.
(5)Lonny P.
Ruth Chris has never failed to deliver a great experience, and this Valentine's Day was no exception. Service was amazing, food was great and I couldn't complain if I wanted to. Great evening and thanks for accomodating us after being late!
(5)Dante B.

(2)Jeff P.
(4)Robert F.
(5)Kevin H.
I go there alone during the week and sit in the front room. Staff is really friendly and you dont feel like a loser by yourself. The filet is phenomenal. The Chopped salad is just enough so you can skip sides and dessert and keep calories down. Save them for a perfect martini!
(5)Anselee J.
Food was OK, although we had reservations and were seated quickly and also ordered almost as soon as we were seated, the food took forever, if they went outside and slaughtered the cow for the meal it may have been faster.
(3)Ryan O.
(5)Jim S.
Great service, great food, plus they let you bring your own wine only 10.00 Corking charge. Best steak house in fort Lauderdale , I have eaten at them all of Them.
(5)Kathleen P.
(5)Paul C.
(2)Thomas P.
I go hear about once a week for happy hour the service and the food is top notch. You can never go wrong with anything you order. You never leave here disappointed.
(5)B J.
(5)Marqus R.
(4)Mark T.

(5)Bob V.
always good, this place is worth the money from time to time. Well always worth the money but I guess I should say nice for occasions. Great food and service
(5)Melissa C.
(5)Lisa V.
everything was excellent- from the service to the food!
(5)R G.
This place was really good EVERYONE like it ...We started out at happy hour & the service was super ...the menu was great & the food was superb. Everything we ordered in the dining room was great & cooked perfectly ( I often take clients out to steak houses & for some reason its hard to cook steak to the correct temp. here) I will be honest to you the happy hour menu items are huge ...try the crab BLT it is awesome...the spicy lobster was not spicy but really sweet & not that great
(4)Brandi D.
order the blueberry mojito!!!! The first time I came with my fiance the silverware was dirty. Second time I came my wine glass was very dirty. The food was good. I didnt like the filet it was kinda chewy.
(4)Tim E.
Still, it's a safe choice for a steak and I will remain a fan ...unless I lose my job! ;-)
(4)Garry Z.
(5)Mitchell F.
Expensively Delicious! Tasty yes, affordable no. It may be one of the best steaks around, but it will cost a lump sum.
(5)Adam W.
(5)George D.
Service was very good. Lamb chops were a embarrassment to Ruth Chris! Best way to sum my review up is if that chef served those same lamb chops to the owners of Ruth Chris he would be looking for a new job the next day!
(1)Steve M.

Awesome sweet potatoe casserole and stuffed chicken!!!

It's Ruth Chris - nothing to complain about- except umm the waiter kept dribbling wine on the tablecloth after pouring- HUGE no no in my book!!!
(5)Keyshia L.

we went here for a girls night out. there was free valet, which is convenient, considering the parking lot is hard to access. we came here, because they were having a prix fixed menu deal, salad, entree with veggies, and dessert for one great low price... to start, I had the caesar salad. nice taste, and the anchovies were definitely in the salad.

I eat here a couple of times a years, the food is always outstanding, the service has never failed. I highly recommend it.

(5)Bonnie L.
Mmmmmmm.... really good steak but not the healthiest. I do recommend it and i think its worth the money.
(4)Fevi R.
Love, Love, Love Best piece of meat ever. The service is excellent! The flourless chocolate cake is a must...
